UPDATE PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING THIS
Bubba and I just had a long conversation on the phone. He apologized profusely and explained to me why he reacted the way he did. Regardless of what happened, I got my refund. That's all I wanted out of this. I am going to be making another updated post tagging his shop too so people are aware that he rectified this situation in a very mature manner. I didn't expect this phone call so my feelings have changed now. He's fully aware of the damage he's done and is willing to go out of his way for anything further as well. I am not aware of any person who left comments or reviews but please if you did then edit to add that he did what's right. It's fair to him. And those girls who work there as well, please keep them in your thoughts. They do have a livelihood to maintain. I do appreciate EVERYONES support. It's been such an amazing thing to witness so many people coming to support this. But despite how horrid this situation is he is now taking the initiative to mend it and that credit is deserving.
Well here it is. I was never going to get to this point and in fact not for the sake of the business that did this but for my own because quite honestly I'm embarrassed. But after simply asking for just a refund I get a phone call saying he's going to sue me for slander. This is NOT slander. I spent $350 on mine and my husbands tattoo. My husband had some vary minimal shading done that in my opinion shouldn't have even cost $100. I also tipped nearly $60 and before all this spent $40 on my nose piercing that was so crooked but was told that was my fault too because I jumped. It healed properly and there was some things in between that made me feel better about going back. I was SO wrong. The owner of Fire & Ice Tattoo just told me he will be contacting his lawyer because of all I've said about his shop to people. I haven't opened up completely until now. He was recommended by a person who I thought was a really good friend until all of this too. Whom decided she would go into the shop and tell him I have a "skin condition" and that's why this happened. I do NOT have a skin condition. I have hashimotos disease. Which in no way is relevant to this situation. I had to ask him twice to stop in places you can still see the line he dug in. Which is where he ended up stopping all together. I was bleeding heavily and couldn't put my arm down. I looked into seeing if that was normal and it looked like from others experience it was, so I tried to let it heal. Even despite getting a fever less than a day later. My arm was so swollen and red by Saturday (tattoo was done the Wednesday prior) that I could literally feel the pressure of the infection move with my arm. The doctor at the hospital told me that the tattoo was done too deeply and there was too much ink used. I sat on iv meds for 3 hours and was put on 12 pills of antibiotics a day for 7 days. I posted in some groups as well as my own Facebook asking for advice. Pretty much everyone told me the same thing- get a refund and even report him. After hearing everyones advice I decided to go into another shop that I've gotten work at and trusted. That artist first words to me without me saying anything was "wow you were abused huh" and told me this was equivalent to a third degree burn because of how deep he went. I asked if it was possible to use too much ink and he said no but it is possible to "over saturate" and that's what happened. After a week of getting through the antibiotics I finally got the courage to simply ask for a refund. That's all I wanted. He didn't respond yesterday so I texted him again today. I wasn't rude in the least bit. I'm a business owner myself and would never want to destroy someone else's but after the phone call I got from him I feel this is necessary. He flat out told me this is MY fault and that my "friend" walked in to his shop saying I had a skin condition I didn't disclose. False. Then decided to tell me that he will be filing a lawsuit on me for slandering his name from what I've already posted. Well funny thing, I just went through the same threat so I know how this works. Despite my schooling to be a paralegal. If you know me then you know I'm such a fair person and will go out of my way to handle issues rationally and in a manner to never hurt the other but the threats I just got on top of everything I've gone through is over board. I'll be finding a lawyer to speak to as well. I would have never considered this if it wasn't for him or my "friend" tearing ME apart for this. I'm appalled that this is the way he decides to handle business. I'm seriously so emotionally drained from this, I'm a wreck. My advice to anyone who is considering a tattoo please please please be cautious. Know your limits. It's not enough to even trust professionals nowadays.
Also, I tagged his shop because he doesn't have his reviews open and I didn't want to make this post because quite honestly people know where I live and that scares me.
